GROUND ONE SIX is the brainchild of Ioannis Dimitrousis or as commonly now known Yannis. Established in 2015, GROUND ONE SIX’s showroom in London’s Belsize Park features a curated collection of fine 20th Century design and art.

Having trained at Christie's, Yannis had already had an enviable career encompassing ten years of experience in the luxury fashion industry. His shift from fashion to interiors reflects not only an evolving taste, but also a discerning eye for detail — combining a significant historical knowledge in fine art and design, as well as his gift for sourcing treasures.

The NW5 showroom contains a broad selection of design gems, from 1800s antiques pieces but with a particular focus on the post-war era and the glamorous Hollywood Regency-influenced designers of the 1970s and 1980s. GROUND ONE SIX has become a curatorial marketplace, with intriguing designs of furniture, lighting, crafts and decorative arts, collectable homeware, and modern art found inside.

Yannis sources and sells furniture and objects which have a unique, eclectic beauty and character. Today, some of GROUND ONE SIX’s selected designers include Romeo Rega, Guy Lefevre, Børge Mogensen, Maison Jansen, Pierre Vandel, Eric Maville, Jean Claude Mahey, Renato Zevi, Maison Charles, Laurel Fyfe, Alessandro Mendini, Sol Garson, Nikos Zographos, and many more!

GROUND ONE SIX caters to the needs of interior designers, decorators, architects and their clients; as well as collectors and design enthusiasts. We work with commercial or residential premises, film makers, production companies, interior stylists, photographers, and advertising agencies for prop rental.

If you’re looking for something special, we will be happy to discuss your design needs and source the right item for you.

“Develop a curatorial aesthetic with timeless and functional pieces from another era…”
